What an amazing trip!!!!! Mike had a trade show to attend for the American Association of Pediatrics and it was the weekend of October 10-13. I was able to take a couple of days off work and accompany him on this trip and I am so glad that I did. We had an amazing time the weather was beautiful and the trees were turning it was great. When Mike was not at the trade show we were able to go to Fenway Park, Faneuil hallmarketplace, and to the Bull and Finch pub. The last day we were there we walked the Freedom Trail. What a historic and at the same time you got that weird feeling. This is definitely a city we will visit again...

Spending Time with Family

Well, I know it has been a while but Mike and I feel like we have been on a whirlwind lately. Mike at the last minute took a trip out to San Diego of a trade-show with work. He really was not looking forward to going but as it ended up he had a good time and really got into his new position with inside sales so there are big benefits from that. As soon as he returned we traveled down to Houston to meet up with and his brother Ryan and sister-in-law Denise. We drove to the San Jacinto battlegrounds on Friday but unfortunately due to Hurricane Ike the battlefield was closed so we found the local Buffalo Wild Wings and had some lunch and then off to the Astros vs. Braves baseball game where Ryan caught a baseball. We then headed back to Austin after the game and got in about 2:00 am. The rest of the weekend we just hung out at home, went to the pool, showed Ryan and Denise the famous Round Rock, went to Juniors, Cooked hamburgers,Golf for the boys and Manicures and Pedicures for the girls. Before we knew it, it was Tuesday and time for Ryan and Denise to fly home. We had a great visit and we will see them soon for Thanksgiving

What a crazy end of July!!!!

It has been a while since I blogged but the last couple of week have just flown by. Mike and I had a wonderful visit with my parents. My dad drove my new car to me and I love it!!!!!! I was able to work from home while my mom and dad were here which was great. Mike was in Rhode Island training and then back in Austin last week for the e-MD user's conference and as of this morning he now is offically in his new position with sales. This weekend was pack for me as well as I had a house warming party where the Margarita's we flowing and the Wii competition was on in bowling and golf. I also kept and eye on Rachel's flower and made sure Body had water while they went to Oklahoma to get Tator.

I am so glad Tae is home and it was so nice to see how tall she got and especially to get a great "BIG" hug from her.

4th of July Weekend!!!!

Another fun filled pack 4th of July we started the weekend with a Round Rock express game with The Hutton's, Henson's, Bandley's, and Jones'. Then Friday I become a painter and helped my good friend Johnna and her husband paint their new home and dinner at Chili's that night. Then Saturday brought grocery shopping and feasting on pig and brisket at the Hutton's. Love going to the Hutton's for cookout. Mike is a fabulous cook and Mandy is the best hostess and we all have a great time with the Hutton's. Then Sunday came with cleaning the garage, giving Mickey a bath and then neighbors over for hamburger and hotdogs. We hope all had fun at the Smith's!!!! It will be hard for Mike and I to leave these wonderful neighbors.

Sex and the City newbie

Rachel, Ashley and I went and saw the movie of the year last night at the Alamo drafthouse and had a ball. We start off as all others with cocktails and appetizers on the porch and off to the movie we went. Got there right as the movie started and did not leave my set......It was GREAT and I would love to see it again and see the spots I missed when I was laughing so hard....This is a movie you can be crying at one minute and laughing the next.

I could not think of two better people to watch the movie with....Thanks Rach and Ashley this is a unforgettable night :)

Cool River Saturday

What can I say we are finally adventuring out and learning some new hot spots in Austin.....What a fab place. Mike, Brandon, Rachel, Ashley and I went out on the town and had a blast. Drinks were great, band was good and the friendship was the best.....Can not wait to go back

Last night was my first game, Mike's second, with our co-ed volleyball team "Spiked Punch" I was a little nervous when we got started as I have never played volleyball. After we got start my nerves started to settle and I felt I was doing a pretty good job for a beginner. We played 3 games and "WON" Brandon and Rachel ran circles around us as did Mike. I never knew my husband could jump so high. We will be playing each Wednesday evening through July 23 so by the time we get to the playoffs I should be a better player :)

We just found out last night that our friends/neighbors Joel and Jamie will be having a baby BOY!!!!!! Mike and I are so happy for them and can not wait to see that adorable little guy. Before you know it Austin and Baby Bandley will be building stuff together just like Joel and Mike.

BBQ Cookoff

Well the "Bad to the Bones" crew (Mike H, Joel and Mike) and the "Girls with Grills" (Jamie and Mandy) competed this weekend in the 1st annual Teravista BBQ Cook off. The good news is the guys (Mike H and Joel) won for best Ribs and the Girls with Grills (Jamie and Mandy) won for best other with their Peach Cobbler.

We all had fun and enjoyed all the food provided. Looking forward to next year!!!!!

Memorial Day Weekend!!!!

What can I say it all started with a great and HOT!!! trip to Walburg. Then Saturday morning shopping with KK and Ady in Wolf Ranch then on to Wendy's for lunch and Lakeline mall for a special gift for the girls. Back home to enjoy a water balloon fight and BBQ. Sunday morning started off slow with reading of the news paper and coffee on the back porch and back to have more fun and good eats with the Huttons. Then Alvin and the Chipmunk's on the Jones garage. Final, Monday brought catching up on shows that were on the DVR for Mike and I and Hamburgers and Hotdogs with the boaters.

Could not have asked for a better weekend!!!!!

Mexico

Mike and I had a great time on vacation. 8 days of relaxing by the pool, meeting new friends from Colorado, New York and Canada. Renting a jeep and seeing new part of Cozumel. Could not have asked for a better vacation. Hope all enjoy the pictures

Well another eventful weekend in Austin. Friday night was 70's night!!!! The Henson's, Jone's and Hutton's unfortunately it was short lived as the pretty intense storm blew through and we all huddled in the Hudson's garage. On Saturday it was off to the soccer fields to watch the Cheetah Girls (Adyson's Team) play soccer. These girls were fierce and of course won the game. Off to lunch at Juniors back home and then Mandy and I went and got the nails and toes done. Then dinner at the Fish City Grill. After a long and eventful day on Saturday we took it easy on Sunday watching the Talledaga race and catching up on emails. Then off to the Hutton's for a cookout of ribs, sausage, hot dogs, homemade mac and cheese.....Mandy and Mike definitely made all of us feel welcome!!!! Looking forward to this weekend to see Adyson in her final soccer game and KK playing softball.

Friday Night Girls night

What a fabulous way to end the week then spending times with great friends and having fun. Nikki and Rachel took me out for drink's at Juniors in Round Rock for a week ending drink and it was a blast as you can see by the photos. After our short stint at junior we headed back to the path and enjoyed the evening with all the neighbors. Saturday was yard day we got trees trimmed, lawn cut and trimmed and it was showers and back down for appetizers and the guys watch the UFC at Joel's house. Sunday was relax day as Mike and I prepared for the week. Mike is off this week to TN until thursday and I was up bright and early taking Nikki and the boys to the airport then off to work. I hope all had a great weekend and wishing you a productive week.

Tae's T-Ball

Well we had a great Tuesday night. We got invited by Rachel to go watch Tae play T-ball. We had a great time watching Tae and her team at Old Settlers Park. We found that Tae had a extra member on her team tonight and that was Strudels the monkey who made a brief appearance. Tae thank you for inviting Mr. Mike and I to your game and riding home with us from your game we had a lot of fun!!!!

Another great weekend in Austin

Well it was yet another beautiful weekend in Austin. Saturday did some errands in the morning finished up the yard work and then Mike, Mickey and I went for a walk. Mickey love chasing the birds and playing by the creek. Needed to stop a couple of time for him to get some water. He then went and played with Mouse, Felix and Sweetie for a little while. After that full day he had had enough. Mike and I though helped Gregg and Nikki get their garage in order and find stuff for the Teravista Garage sale this weekend. Had a few laughs and ended the evening. Sunday we had lunch with the Henson's. Nikki and I went and got our nails, toes and eyebrows done (Nikki hope the swelling has gone down). Then we played with Coopy and Noah outside and taught Cooper not to run in the street when their are cars coming. Then Mandy and Jamie drove by and invited us down for a cookout which was fabulous!!!! Thanks Mike and Mandy for the hospitality. We now have a new thing to do with the gang, Rock band, which was tons of fun!!! Looking forward to more fun with the Hutton's, Jones, Stoy-Bandley's and Henson's family band...

Weekend Fun

This past weekend was fun and exciting. Saturday we had a major rain storms so Mike and I ran errands. We hit the drycleaners, Walmart and Sportsclips. Unfortunely for Mike this was not the best thing as they scalped him. I have never seen his hair so short. On Sunday Mike left for Arkansas for the week and the Henson's invited me to lunch. We started off at the Waterloo Ice house but due to them not serving outside we ended up at Carlos and Charlies and had a great time an even got to vist Just for fun water rentals and look at three great house boats. Today is Mike's Birthday!!! Happy Birthday Sweetie!!! and we have big plans with the neighbors this weekend. Congratulations to Sarah on passing her test. Carol I hope you having a great time with your family! Rachel, Brandon and Tae have a blast at Disney!!!! Niki congratulations on working things out with your schedule and having Friday's off.

Superbowl Weekend

Well it has been another quick weekend for me. Two birthday parties on Saturday and a Superbowl party on Sunday with Friends. Started saturday at the Oasis for Reese Riley's 1st birthday. It was a beautiful day an the first time that I had been there someplace I would love to go back to. Then home to spend the afternoon with Taggert and Riley at their reptile party. We got to learn about the reptiles and see bearded dragons, frogs and of course snakes. Had a great time see all the kids learning and see friends always fun on the path. It was then home again to change and go out with the Henson's and Sippels to the Domain. We had a great time!!!! Sunday of course was the Superbowl at Nikki and Gregg and it was a blast. Tons of food and fun. Sorry Mike missed out on all the fun but he was having his own fun in Florida with his family

Valentine's Day

Well unfortunely this year Mike and I spent the day apart. Mike is in Colorado this week training and loving the cold and snow (ha, ha). While I am home keeping everything going. This weekend we will be celebrating Mike's birthday with our neighbors and watching the Daytona 500. This is the time of year that Mike really misses Florida. It has been cold here in Austin, we had snow north of us this morning and the high today is 43 but we have been told that it should get warm by next week.
